Sliding-folding doors for a country house near London – England
Pair of coplanar glass walls for a mansion in the English countryside. The windows have a classic yet minimal design and are characterized by an innovative custom system that allows opening a hinged door and, at the same time, to slide the three parts of the window that eventually fold up against the side wall. The frame is in iron with powder coating with a materic bronzed effect. Inside the double glazing, there is a custom made pattern made of lacquered aluminium bars, with matching decorative aluminium plates on the external surfaces as well. The ceiling tracks have a tailor made system with springs and spheres to mechanically fix the doors at the end of their travel. The bespoke handles are in stainless steel with a knurled surface and have the same details as the special full-height hinges that mark the windows and become a characterizing element.
